Treyarch announces that patches will be coming soon in Black Ops 4 Multiplayer and Blackout

In response to the comments of the players, Treyarch has spoken on the upcoming changes to furtively sneak in multiplayer mode and Blackout.

While the inclusion of an emote and spray system was not at all surprising, fans quickly became concerned when it was discovered that the gestures had unplanned uses.

In multiplayer mode and in Blackout, the gestures can be used to go into third person mode and take a look at the corners that would otherwise have been blocked in first person.

Using gestures in this way creates an obvious competitive advantage that could make the difference between living and dying in one or the other mode.

As such, fans have been turning to Twitter and Reddit in recent days to express the need for changes to the emote system.

In addition to announcing details of a game update, Treyarch also announced that changes would be made to the emote system in future updates.

Rather than completely removing the gestures, the update will simply change the way players can use the items.

If they are used in an area where competitive equilibrium is not a problem, such as the staging area in Blackout, the emotes will be used normally. In other areas, however, a "competitive version" of emotes will be used to maintain a good competitive balance.

Full details of Treyarch's Reddit article can be viewed blow:

We are aware that players have been able to use gestures (often called "emotes" by the community) to take a look at the corners of the modes in which this may create an unfair advantage. We are currently working on an update that creates two systems for Gestures: the default system present in the game and a competitive version that disables the free mode and applies different camera settings to prevent its use from seeing in the corners. The default system will be used in parts of the game where angle detection will not affect the game's balance (such as Blackout's staging area), and the competing version will be used in modes requiring a system of play. more restrictive camera. We want players to always have fun with the actions as expected, but never at the expense of fair gameplay!
