The Tumblr app for iOS has mysteriously disappeared from the App Store this weekend. Although the details of the deletion are unclear at this point, Tumblr states investigate "problems with the iOS app" and will continue to provide updates.

Tumblr issues seem to have started earlier this week. PiunikaWeb spotted that users could not locate the app while iOS Parental Control features were enabled. Shortly after, the application seemed to disappear from the App Store for everyone.

Tumblr has released its first update regarding the Friday afternoon issue and the most recently updated users on Saturday night.

Original declaration:

We are working on solving a problem with the iOS application and hope to be able to function fully again. We thank you for your patience, and we will update this article when we have news to share.

Statement updated:

Thank you to check with us. We are still working on the problem with the iOS application. We will keep you posted as soon as everything is repaired.

Some users who have previously downloaded the Tumblr app for iOS declare that they are able to install it again by clicking the "Purchasing" tab of the App Store. This, of course, does not help users who want to download it for the first time.

The problem is probably related to the inappropriate content section of the guidelines of the App Store. We have seen Apple suddenly pull other apps from the App Store for such violations, including the Telegram app. In most cases, Apple works with developers to update their apps and remove any content of this type.

We will update when Tumblr resolves its "problem" and that the application will be available again in the App Store.
