As Business Insider first pointed out, Twitter is testing a redesigned version of its desktop interface with changes such as a new composition window, a flip-flop for night mode, and so on. In addition, Twitter today released an update of the Twitter application on iOS.

Regarding the redesign of workstations, Twitter says it is a "limited test for now" and did not specify when, or if, the redesign will be deployed to all users of Twitter . The redesigned web interface brings an updated timeline interface, a new night mode toggle and a data saving mode that prevents images from appearing automatically in the timeline.
In addition, there are new integration options for tweets, such as the ability to adjust the color and color of the link, and so on. The new Twitter Web interface also seems to be a progressive web application, according to Business Insider:
It seems that the new desktop website test is a progressive web application, a standard that explains how to create applications in browser windows. An interesting feature is that it allows websites to be pinned to a dock or taskbar just like an application.
In a tweet about the redesign, Twitter also said it was providing support for Bookmark for the Web. This allows users to record tweets for later on the mobile and web versions of Twitter.
In addition to the redesigned Web interface, Twitter has also released today an update of its iOS application. In particular, this update includes support for live audio streaming only:
Some small changes in this version:
- Improved how events and relevant broadcasts appear on top of your calendar
- Added support for live audio streaming only – so viewers can hear you (but do not see it)
- Minor bug fixes on rendering tweets in different parts of the application
- Fixed a bug affecting subtitles on event pages
