Updating the Black Ops 4 PC game settings for November 2nd includes a major weapons balancing pass – Complete Patch Notes

Treyarch has released the long-awaited update of PC-specific weapon balancing for Black Ops 4.

As promised, the players of Black Ops 4 on PC have just received a specific patch to solve some issues of imbalance of weapons that have affected the platform since its launch.

Since PC users are much easier to aim with a mouse and keyboard than with a controller, some weapons have performed much better than expected on the platform.

The leader among these was the Saug 9mm SMG, with the Mod Dual Wield Operator allowing the pistol to easily shred the enemies. As such, Treyarch increased the spread of fire at the hip and reduced the maximum damage reduction distance to align with other weapons.

The MOG-12 shotgun and the Koshka sniper rifle also saw some changes in their destruction potential at once, with the MOG receiving a nerve and the Koshka a buff.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 PC updates November 2

Hello, here are some changes and updates currently in progress. Thanks to the ongoing work that Beenox is doing to listen to feedback and ensure the best computer experience possible.

General changes (PC)

Multiplayer

arms

  • Saug 9mm
    • Operator Mod: Further increase in the spread of fire through the hip. Reduces the maximum distance from falling damage.
The dual Saug was extremely popular and effective on PC and required extra attention from what had been done for the console.
  • MOG-12
    • Strangled bar: reduced range at once.
While we already had a different balance for this PC-based weapon, we felt that this attachment was still working a little too well outside the expected range.
  • Koshka
    • One-shot kill zone moved from "head only" to "head and upper chest". By using a high caliber, you will get a deadly blow from the chest.
The Koshka was at the bottom of the sniper rankings in terms of performance, so we give him a small advantage to help him compete with the Paladin and Outlaw. With this change, each lock element shooter now has a different OSK zone.

The menus

  • Fixed a problem causing overlapping UI elements in the Zombies menu.
  • Fixed a visual issue that caused duplication of icons when attempting to navigate the Create-A-Class menu with "Q" and "E".
