Vizio's Atmos soundbar is out and its price is surprisingly affordable.

Following their announcement earlier this year, Vizio's first Dolby Atmos sound bars are now available, and the latter two should follow later this year.

Dolby Atmos is the latest audio standard from the movie giant. It uses an object-based system to give the impression that the action is going on above, as well as behind you. Although it debuted as premium technology, budget systems such as those from Vizio have emerged to take advantage of the growing amounts of Atmos content available, especially now that the standard is available on the Apple TV 4K and Xbox One S.

The 36-inch, 5.1.2 version of the Vizio system is the first to see an output today at $ 499.99. This system includes a total of five speakers around you (three at the front and two at the back), two speakers shooting up and a single subwoofer.
