Watch the first three minutes of 'Fallout 76' – Variety

Bethesda released Thursday the official introduction of Fallout 76 into the game. The three-minute video gives a grim tone to the upcoming online role-playing game, which will be launched on Nov. 14.

It starts with the familiar slogan "War … War Never Changes". A small television screen shows a man presenting the world at the eponymous Vault 76, a vast underground bunker designed to resist the nuclear apocalypse.

"If the bombs come, if the end comes, our way of life will continue," says the man about images of a mushroom cloud juxtaposed with a family picnic. "But not everyone will be saved."

There are no gameplay sequences in the video, and that worries some fans. Bethesda has not shown any highly anticipated title gameplay since the announcement of its existence earlier this year. Pete Hines, senior vice president of global marketing / communications at Bethesda, assured them on Thursday that they will soon see more.

"I know a lot of people are wondering about the gameplay," he said. "Well, I can confirm that we will soon be organizing an event. And we will let many people capture a few hours of play by doing what they want. So, soon you will have hundreds of hours of play to watch. "

Bethesda is holding a closed beta for "Fallout 76" in October on consoles and PCs. The Xbox One receives it on October 23, followed by the PC and PlayStation 4 a week later, October 30. It will be available to people who pre-order the game at participating retailers. The beta will start gradually and will increase as the game prepares for launch.
