How fast can you Tetris? This teenager can absolutely blitz the classic puzzle game.

16-year-old Joseph Saelee defeated Tetris World champion (and current champion) Jonas Neubauer will win the official crown, reports Kotaku.

The classic Tetris The World Championships wrapped up Sunday at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo at the Oregon Convention Center.

The game on the table? The same version of Nintendo Tetris used since the 1990 Nintendo World Championship competition.

Players bring their own unmodified standard NES controllers and can often use a technique called "hypertapping", which, says the editor, is to constantly press the D-pad instead of holding it down. All players do not use it, but the new king of Tetris, Saelee, does.

The Japanese also participated in the final Tetris Master Koryan, and former world champion Harry Hong, who in 2009 was the first to reach the highest possible score of 999,999 points.
