Three iPhones, an Apple Watch and more

It's slow year for Apple hardware. The company has traditionally done a good job of showing ads throughout the calendar, but apart from an iPad event in Chicago and a MacBook update a few months ago, there has been little news of the company. Even WWDC this summer was totally devoid of new material.

All this is about to change at the big show to be held next week at the Steve Jobs Theater on the new campus of the Cupertino era. Rumors are running faster and faster, and, in the opinion of all, there are LOTS of things to expect, from a bunch of new phones, to an update of Apple 's to additional news on the front of the iPad.

The flagship model will come in two sizes, respectively 5.8 and 6.5 inches, respectively called iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus (or, possibly, max). One of the group's (but convincing) rumors is the inclusion of a Lightning to USB-C connection cable.

Cheapest iPhone X: With the flagship products, Apple is expected to bring a cheaper version of the X-style phone. After all, the first iPhone X was generally considered prohibitively expensive. The easiest way to reduce costs? Swap the OLED screen for LCD, naturally. The phone will get a face ID when it releases the home button. As for the name? The iPhone XC has been somewhat credited.

Apple Watch Series 4: It's time of the season.
