In most cases, you could actually do much worse than early November or December, but Black Friday is still the best time to find the best deals. That means the magical hours when the Thanksgiving meal has dissipated and that everyone breaks into the world of retail to buy what they have differed from buying. Historically, this day is among the best deals on most consoles for the year.
So suppose you're looking to buy a Nintendo switch this holiday season. I would not blame you: it's a multi-purpose machine stacked with top notch first-rate exclusives and a list of fast-growing individuals that contains real gems. It's also the only console to do a good job with the local multiplayer mode, as well as, of course, the only one to work like a handheld. It's great for commuters, but also for everyone else.
This will be Nintendo Switch's second holiday season on the market, but in some ways it will work as the third. Indeed, most consoles are marketed in the fall. The first Black Friday does not have much to do: the new consoles rarely experience a fall in prices a few months. The Nintendo Switch was launched in the spring. So we saw some very light offers and packages last year. The stated selling price did not match anything, but there were several ways to get a slightly cheaper game or cash back offers making the prospect a bit more alluring.
We can expect more from that this year. We just saw a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe pack at Target for $ 299.99, which is not very elaborate, but it's still better than last year. That's worth $ 60 when you consider that you have to buy a game with your switch anyway, and that's the first game I would recommend to almost everyone.
Kohl's also offers a $ 330 package with some accessories and $ 90 in cash, which significantly lowers the price as long as you spend your savings at Kohl's.
I would expect most other contracts to follow this path. I do not expect to see many cases of contracts allowing you to win a Nintendo switch at a price below a MSRP of $ 299, but I'm expecting some bundles to actually reduce the price . Some of them will probably be those "choose two games" that you see in places such as Walmart and Best Buy, and those who really live and die depending on the games on offer.
