What to expect from the event Google Pixel 3 – TechCrunch

Apple, Amazon and Microsoft have already organized their big fall event – and now it's Google's turn. Over the past two years, the October event has become an increasingly important platform, with the company continuing to lobby in various categories of equipment. And really, this is the last chance for Google to make waves before the holidays.

Pixel 3 will undoubtedly be the centerpiece of the show. This fact has not escaped Google. Between the officially approved glimpses and leaks the size of Niagara Falls, it seems obvious that we've seen everything the phone has to offer. Of course, these days, the event is much more than the pixel. Last year, at that time, the company had rolled out numerous additions to its line of smart Home speakers, including the Home Mini and Max. I plan to see a lot of news on this front, so this time.

The event will begin on October 9 in New York. We will be there, of course. In the meantime, here's what we think we're seeing, starting with the most obvious.

Hopefully there will be surprises on the phone, but I would not count on it. We have already seen the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL from every angle imaginable, both in still images and videos. In fact, Google gave Samsung a run for its money on the leak front, this time around.

The Pixel 3 XL will adopt one of the largest cuttings we have seen to date. The pixel 3, on the other hand, can completely jump the notch. Apparently, a new color is also being studied – Aqua – to match the recently announced Google Home Minty.

The phones are said to stick to a single rear-facing camera configuration, which has served the line well in the past, but some new RA tricks are apparently being implemented to help show the latest ARCore additions. The squeeze interface introduced by HTC has also been confirmed via a really adorable official Google Japan video. A pair of Pixel Bud-esque wired headphones should also be in the box.The new phone should also have its own charging support, similar to that recently launched by Samsung (or, on the other hand, AirPower). It's worth noting that the media is essentially designed to turn the Pixel into a smart fortune-teller, similar to what Amazon did with its Fire tablets via Show mode.

On this note, Google seems ready to put more skin in the smart display game, after being associated with a number of thirds earlier this year. The business center has already proven itself in two cases of leaks and approvals from the FCC, with Google finally taking control of the Echo Show. We know that the Home Mini will probably not benefit from a full refresh, given the recent addition of colors, but the first-generation Home seems to have lagged behind its facelift which, hopefully, would give it less weight. Air as the Glade Air Purifier.

Like the Hub, a new Chromecast has also been used by the FCC, although information on new features seems rare. Given the lukewarm reception of the original Pixel Buds, we hope for an update in this regard. A new Pixelbook also seems quite plausible, as well as the supposed addition of a Pixel Slate convertible tablet, adding another high-end device to its Chrome OS offers.
