On Tuesday of this week, Apple officially hosted its October event, titled "There is still a lot to do." This great revelation has resulted in the introduction of a new Retina MacBook Air, the first Mac mini update in four years and a brand new iPad Pro lineup.
However, there are some things that enthusiastic fans hoped would not have been announced at the Apple event in October.

1. iPad mini 5
A few days before the Apple event, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a research note in which he speculated that the company was working on a new iPad mini. Although Kuo himself has stated that it was not obvious that the update was ready for the October event, many iPad mini fans were hoping for it. see officially announced.
While Apple has mentioned the iPad mini 4 as a valuable member of its iPad lineup on stage at the event, the new iPad mini 5 was untraceable. The old iPad mini 4 is still sold by Apple at a normal price of $ 399.
As for waiting for the iPad mini 5, there are signs that it will probably be early in 2019.
2. AirPod and AirPod wireless chargers
When Apple had pre-advertised AirPower during the iPhone X event in 2017, the wireless charging mat would be marketed in 2018. In September, the iPhone XS event came and went without mention of AirPower, leaving a lot of hope at the event of October. would be different.
Nevertheless, the product unveiled by Apple last October contained no mention of airPower. In addition, the AirPods wireless charging case has also not been referenced since the launch of the Apple software in September 2017.

3. iMac Updates
At Apple's October meeting, several reports suggested that iMac would be on the list of Macs to update. According to a rumor, the iMac would receive "significant performance improvements in display" this fall.
In addition to the supposed iMac screen upgrades, new processors also seemed likely, as did the addition of Apple's T2 security chip. The iMac was last updated in June 2017 by WWDC, which means that there is almost a year and a half since the last update.
In the end, the October event did not bring any changes to the iMac range. Unless Apple is applying an updated press release specification to the machine before the end of the year, discounted iMacs now appear to be a spring 2019 item for Apple.
4. ECG application for Apple Watch
Apple has unveiled a new ECG app that allows users to place their finger on the Digital Crown and view an electrocardiogram of their heart activity.
The ECG application was not included in watchOS 5 when Apple Watch Series 4, and many speculated that watchOS 5.1 would include the application. While Apple released watchOS 5.1 the same day as its October event, the ECG application was not found. (Note: Apple ended up shooting watchOS 5.1, but we also do not expect the reissue to include an ECG.)
When recalling Apple's fourth quarter results this week, Tim Cook promised that the ECG would still arrive before the end of the year.
5. 12-inch MacBook Updates
Just like the iMac, the 12-inch MacBook seemed to be a likely candidate for the October updates this year. The device was last updated at WWDC 2017.
The 12-inch MacBook was introduced as part of the MacBook product line at Apple's October protest, but received no updates. In fact, Apple has made the future of the 12-inch MacBook even more uncertain at this event.
