The sixth season of the huge success of the video game "Fortnite" has finally arrived.

Just in time for the Halloween season, the Epic Games publisher has introduced a spooky theme called Darkness Rises, adding fresh skins and other benefits, including pets and a new element which can make the players invisible.

For those who have never boarded the Battle Bus, "Fortnite" presents a Battle Royale where 100 players descend on an island in an environment similar to "The Hunger Games". You can play alone or with a team, and the last permanent wins.

If you are still looking forward to the chance of tackling Season 6, here is everything you need to know.

The island seems a lot more scary

Instead of playing under a sunny sky, the island is plunged into darkness. There are also several new areas to check, including a floating island, cornfields and a corrupt area.

What are the stones of the shadow?

This is the new benefit of Season 6 – an item that users find and consume to add new capabilities. If you consume a shadow stone, you take a shadow shape, according to the release notes posted by Epic. This allows players to stay invisible if they are motionless, but when they move, they are easier to spot by leaving a shadow behind them. But there are some interesting benefits, including the ability to move faster, cross objects in phase and fall without any damage, regardless of height. The perk lasts 45 seconds.

You can bring pets with you

Players can now bring a friend! An image of pets includes a dog, a lizard and a small dragon. It seems that pets are only cosmetic.

A new battle pass

As with every Fortnite season, users can add a Battle Pass, a unique buy that players make to add even more cosmetic items like skins, including an outfit where players can turn into a werewolf. The pass costs about $ 10.

There are already technical problems

Epic Games has been investigating two numbers since the launch of Season 6. The first is an increase in the number of crashes when Xbox owners launch Fortnite. The second is Vbucks, the game currency of Fortnite. Epic cites error messages when players try to buy Vbucks or a delay in receiving them once the purchase is made.
