Bungie has announced a number of Destiny 2 updates on the way, but the mysterious Xur merchant is the same. He is back to peddle his goods, which include the usual assortment of exotic material. Here's what he's selling this weekend, as well as where to find it.
This week, Xur continues to appear in its same old places. You'll find it now on Io, in the Giant & Scar area. Take a look at the landing zone, climb up on your sparrow and go through a passageway. With the big drill, go to the left in the big opening, then skip the small hill to the left of this area. You will find Xur hidden in a cave, as you can see on the map below.
On the side of objects, it has a standard set of equipment: an exotic weapon and an exotic armor piece for each class, as well as the expensive Engram Fated (which guarantees you an exotic year that you do not already have). The weapon is the Skyburner's Oath, a scout rifle that fires explosive bullets. There have been complaints about damage caused by PvE scout rifles, but this should change with an update this month.
For armor, hunters receive the gauntlets of the young Ahamkara's spine, which improve the Tripmines when you deal damage with techniques. Warlocks have the Skull of Dire Ahamkara helmet, which gives you superior energy when you're killed with Nova Bomb. And the Titans receive the Helm of Saint-14 helmet, which causes Ward of Dawn to blind his enemies and give an additional shield to friends. The full range and prices follow below.
- Oath of Skyburner (Exotic Recce Rifle) – 29 Legendary Splinters
- Young Ahamkara's Grip (Exotic Hunter's Gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Chips
- Ahamkara Fire Skull (Exotic Warlock Helmet) – 23 Legendary Splinters
- Saint-14 Helmet (Exotic Titan Helmet) – 23 Legendary Chips
You will be able to collect these items between now and the weekly reset on Tuesday, October 9th. A week later, the Festival of the Lost will debut alongside a new fix, version 2.0.4.
