I mean, I can think of several reasons, but Xiaomi generally manufactures reasonably reliable consumer electronics products, and the company's extremely low prices have disrupted other markets, such as fitness trackers.
Spotted by Engadget, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer's $ 30 AirDots are fully wireless headphones, designed to compete with devices like AirPod and Pixel Buds, but at a fraction of the price. Price has long been one of the main factors slowing down the adoption of more widespread technology and, at the very least, Xiaomi proves that it can be made very cheaply.
The AirDots seem to only concern China for the moment, priced at 199 yuan, or about 29 dollars. The buds themselves should give you five hours of life, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, with a total of 12 hours, including the case of loading.
Honestly, it's not bad at all for the price. The quality of the sound is another question, of course. But the availability of $ 29 wireless headphones could help justify abandoning the headphone jack even for inexpensive handsets at this stage.
