Women's pockets are the only reason to buy an iPhone XS

The iPhone X is dead. In its place, we now have three new options: the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR. Apple likes to name its phones stupid things as much as I like to complain, and so we find ourselves in perfect sync. While I would like to sit here to suck my teeth and scream at the absolute ding-dong who decided to call him XS Max and not only the maximum, I should rather talk about a bigger problem: size, size, size.

In 2018, Science ™ (or rather The pudding) has conclusively confirmed that women's pockets are nil. In particular, they do not fear tech connoisseurs, since only 40% of women's front pockets could hold the 5.8-inch screen of the iPhone X. This is bad news for anyone interested in the XS Max (which I will name hereinafter "iPhone Max"). just as Apple should have done). It's even bigger than the iPhone X, or the XS of the same size, with a 6.5-inch screen. Even the new iPhone XR comes with a giant screen of 6.1 inches. And even though the XR will have most of the features offered on the XS for less money, for some of those wondering what new phone to launch a month's rent, the choice has already been made. Because, you know, there is no place for the damn Max or XR on your person.

In theory, that's fine. If you're looking to buy a new iPhone, the XS and Max both have * squints to notes * two 12-megapixel rear cameras and an upgraded True Tone flash, a 7-megapixel front camera, a built-in resistor, and more. improved water and better battery life than the iPhone X. Nor have a dongle because Apple really wants to extract that extra $ 9 from your soft wallet.

With the X, Apple has also killed the iPhone SE, an extremely popular model that consumers are asking the company to update. The XS is cheaper than the $ 100 Max, but for buyers who prefer a smaller phone, Apple does not have many options. The smallest iPhone you can buy is now the iPhone 7, with a 0.7 inch screen larger than the 4-inch SE screen.

Instead of trying to outdo each other every year by making the biggest phones even bigger, Apple might be able to try a fun experience where features and size would be reduced. If the Apple Watch may have a smaller size to comfortably accommodate people with smaller frames, why not offer the same for an iPhone?
