June is coming to an end and the E2 2018 Xbox is no longer a memory, which means it's time for Major Nelson to share another month free games with Gold. Four more Xbox Games With Gold will be available in July, two Xbox One titles and two Xbox 360 titles.
The list of Gold With Gold games for Xbox Gold subscribers of July 2018 will include the following four games:
- Assault Android Cactus (X1)
- Death Squared (X1)
- Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (X360)
- Conviction Splinter Cell (X360)
As in previous months, Xbox One games will be available for a full month and Xbox 360 games will be available for only 15 days . Android Assault Cactus and Virtua Fighter 5 will become available on July 1 and Death Squared and Splinter Cell will follow on July 16. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and Splinter Cell Conviction are also available on Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility.
Although both Android Assault Cactus and Death Squared are small independent versions, they should make a lot of Xbox Gold subscribers very happy. Assault Android Cactus is a two-stick isometric shooter game with a varied selection of playable characters and quirky action. Death Squared will fill the void of puzzle games that fans of the genre have noticed in recent months.
The July Xbox 360 titles are expected to offset the lack of Xbox One AAA versions. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is arguably one of the best fighting games of the last 10 years, but it is a bit unknown in the West due to the predominance of more franchises popular. Finally, there is Splinter Cell Conviction that did not have as much love as the other titles in the franchise is still a great opportunity to reconnect with Sam Fisher – with a little bit of luck, a new sequel will arrive soon.
Xbox games with gold for July 2018 start on Sunday, July 1st, so be sure to download the other June games with Gold before the time runs out. Assassin's Creed Chronicles Russia and LEGO Indiana Jones 2 will be unavailable at the beginning of the month.
