The Xbox Game Pass service has become a trusted favorite for gamers as it allows them to download over a hundred successful titles, including new versions such as Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4, on their Xbox console. But today, the company has confirmed that fun is about to take shape on a whole new platform.
According to this report from Windows Central, Satya Nadella, CEO of the company, confirmed today that the program will soon be extended to the PC, so that Windows users can enjoy everything they want. He has to offer.
Many Xbox games are still compatible with Windows PC, including newer versions as well as older favorites such as Killer Instinct and Quantum breakso this movement makes sense. And given the fact that the program already has a ton of subscribers, there is no doubt.
It is likely that the program will debut on the integrated configuration of the Microsoft Store integrated into Windows 10, although the details of its launch have not yet been specified.
We are also waiting for details on two other things.
First, will the alignment be the same as what we see on Xbox Game Pass? It is obvious that not all titles are compatible, which means more than likely that some exclusive PC games will need to be added to fill the void. Whereas Windows is compatible with many of them, it is entirely possible.
Then there is the price. Origin currently offers its own on-demand game download program, but its price is a bit high. It's unclear if the Xbox Game Pass would still cost $ 9.99 on Windows, given the available AAA titles, or maybe around $ 19.99. It is also not known if a subscription with the Pass would cover both Xbox One and PC platforms, or if a separate subscription is required for each one.
We will probably have our answers to this in just a few weeks, as Microsoft prepares to host the event # X018, to be held on November 10 and 11 in Mexico City. It is here that the company will make all its key announcements for the end of 2018 and the whole of 2019, and we will probably know more.
Nevertheless, it is good to see the Xbox Game Pass grow to try to reach a wider audience. But you do not have to wait to check it. It's available on Xbox One and Xbox One X now, and a trial period lets you try before you buy!
