Xbox Game Pass aims to become the Netflix of Xbox games by allowing Microsoft console owners to play a selection of titles for a monthly fee.
With over 200 titles currently available, a Game Pass subscription is a great solution for budget-conscious players looking to play something new without having to own a disc. You will not even need a super fast internet connection because the games are downloaded to your console rather than streamed.
Games published by Microsoft are now usually added to the library when published, but the range includes titles from many different publishers. Some Xbox 360 games are even included through backward compatibility.
A monthly subscription to the service costs £ 7.99 per month and, for a limited time, Microsoft offers a special offer allowing new members to get their first month for only £ 1. You can sign up for the service on your Xbox One console or on the Xbox website.

You also do not need an Xbox Live Gold subscription, unless you want to play multiplayer mode of a game (for which you would need Gold if you had the game of anyway).
If you play with something via Game Pass and decide that you like it so much that you want to own it, you will save up to 20% on the purchase price.
This can be convenient when the list is running, new titles are added almost weekly, while some are sometimes deleted. Once a game is no longer in the list, you must either buy the digital version or insert the game disc to continue playing.
