Microsoft has deployed backwards compatible games for the Xbox One almost every week and continues this week with a new batch of titles in British Columbia. Three other Xbox 360 games are now compatible with the current console, and this time they are all from Crytek's first-person shooter series, Crysis, which is critically acclaimed.
The three main versions of the series – Crysis, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 – can now be played on Xbox One. Recognized for their stunning and forward-thinking graphics, each game entrusts players with the role of a soldier in Nanosuit's suit fighting against alien invaders known as Ceph. The original in particular is widely regarded as one of the best first-person shooter of its time; GameSpot has awarded the Xbox 360 version an 8/10 in our original Crysis review in which it was written: "It's absolutely appealing on its new platforms.More importantly, shoot humans and aliens in the middle of 'A lush foliage of jungle and ravines is still entertaining.'
If you still have a physical copy of one of the titles, you can simply insert the disc into your Xbox One to start a download, which allows you to start playing. If you have games in digital mode, they will automatically appear in the Ready to Download section of the My Games and Applications menu on the console. All three are also available for purchase on the Microsoft Store for $ 20 each.
Since Microsoft introduced the compatibility feature with earlier versions of Xbox One, more than 400 Xbox 360 titles and 30 original Xbox games have been made readable on the console.
