Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 announced with 4GB RAM, SD660 SoC and Oreo

Xiaomi has just announced its fourth generation tablet, the Mi Pad 4. The company has introduced this tablet in China, as usual, and it is one of the very few new tablets which we have seen announce this year. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is a mid-range tablet, like its predecessors, and is made of metal. The Mi Pad 4 sports glasses thinner than its predecessors, but these glasses are still there, which was predictable for a tablet, of course, it would be really uncomfortable to use a tablet if the glasses were as thin as on modern smartphones.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 uses buttons on the screen, while its screen sports rounded corners, which is a first for one of the company's tablets. A front camera is also included on the device and it is centered above the screen of the tablet. This tablet is available in WiFi and 4G LTE versions, while the SIM card includes a nano SIM slot. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 has an 8-inch FullHD + display (1920 x 1200), which gives a 16:10 format. The device is powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 660 64-bit processor, while Xiaomi has announced both 3GB and 4GB RAM (LPDDR4X) variants of this tablet. The 3GB RAM model of the Mi Pad 4 comes with 32GB of storage, while the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of internal storage (eMMC 5.1).

Android 8.1 Oreo is pre-installed on this device, as well as the MIUI skin of Xiaomi. A 13-megapixel camera (f / 2.0 aperture, OV13855 sensor) is included on the back of the camera, while a 5-megapixel camera (aperture f / 2.0, S5K5E8 sensor Samsung) is on the front of the device. A 6000 mAh battery is included inside this tablet, and it is not removable. A Type-C USB port is placed on the underside of the Mi Pad 4, while Xiaomi also includes the Bluetooth 5 in the Mi Pad 4. The 4GB RAM version of this tablet with a SIM card slot (4G LTE version) costs 1,499 Yuan ($ 229), and the Mi Pad 4 will go on sale in China on June 27th.
