But while Blackout can impress, Fortnite has some advantages over it. The mechanics of the building remains unique and more or less repeated in the genre, which makes the game stands out from all other entries. Fortnite also has a personality and a cultural presence that I can not see Call of Duty achieve with Blackout. The skins, dances, Fortnite have created a new IP that has invaded the world in recent months. Call of Duty is … Call of Duty. Blackout is like a melting pot of the franchise, zombie campaign characters and multiplayer. It can be fun and polite, but a global trend like Fortnite? I do not hold my breath.
The good news is that Fortnite and Call of Duty can both probably win here. Fortnite would always start to decline afterwards, but the game is so big that it does not really matter anymore. Call of Duty can feel fresh with a new fashion that has finally delighted people for the series. The biggest potential losers are probably Battlefield V and PUBG, although Fortnite certainly should not be complacent either.
