Earlier this year, Destiny 2 was in a difficult place. I've been deeply impressed not only by the content of this expansion, but also by its magnitude. I have twenty hours of playing time on just one of my characters, and I have barely crossed the 500 level mark, and I still have tons of things to discover and accomplish on this alone character.
Forsaken would probably have been considered a very good, larger than average DLC, had it just ended after the Forsaken campaign and that he had had a raid. But the fact that Bungie has designed a whole "end-of-game" zone in the Dreaming City, filled with difficult challenges and bewildering mysteries, has pushed this expansion to a level that gives it a real expansion. While it's still early, from what I see so far, I could say that Forsaken is actually better that the king caught, and brings more to the table than this expansion does, and that even before getting his hands on the raid.

Forsaken just has an amazing amount of content to do to level, cultivate materials, discover mysteries. More than any other DLC or extension I've seen. Hell, more than the full released had. It's only smaller physically with two zones and fewer missions, but in many ways it's bigger than anything before it.
My initial preoccupation with booty and leveling slowly fades as I climb and I discover the way forward, a sea of powerful engrams and a million ways to get them. , and the exotics not only powerful, but still rare.
This is not a criticism, but perhaps a forerunner of a journal that I will write later. What is clear to me is that this expansion has disappointed and delighted many destiny to this hobby / obsession when earlier this year, it seemed that the series was in decline.
It took a lot of work to get to this point, with Bungie and her partner studios working hard to make it a masterpiece, but we've finally come to this point. But then, Bungie went beyond expectations to imagine things that players did not even imagine, like Dreaming City and Gambit.
If it sounds like praise, it's because I've been so criticism of destiny For most of the past year (and let's be honest, most of the last four years), I must admit that this is due and say that Forsaken has so far almost succeeded. Of course, I'll be back pretty quickly, but it's really the extension I was looking for, as well as most fans, and I can not wait to finish this article and start playing again.
