Did Facebook come down for you on Monday? You are not alone.
The most popular social network was turned off early Monday afternoon, telling users who were trying to access his site that noncompliant error messages were saying "Sorry, something is wrong". We are working on it and we will fix it as soon as possible. "
The crash has blocked Facebook's main website for some users and has made the use of Facebook Messenger difficult. Instagram and WhatsApp, two of Facebook's other major social platforms, seemed to be doing well.
We did not know immediately what had made Facebook offline or when the service would be online. Facebook did not immediately respond to a request from the United States for today to comment on the blackout.
As has become common with Internet crashes, users quickly rushed to Twitter with #FacebookDown among the trend topics of the site in the US and around the world.
Some sent Facebook "thoughts and prayers".
For others, well, the breakdown was a sign to get back to work.
