The day has come After two weird weeks of incredibly easy quest steps, the last leg of the exotic quest of the Thunder Lord of Destiny 2 has arrived. And it's … as easy, but at least a bit more complicated than the last two weeks, so that's fine.
We still have a new mission to complete instead of just using agricultural engrams or lost areas, but I'm going to get into the spoiler domain, and because of something cool that's happening, you might want to stay intact.
Ready? D & # 39; agreement.
The new quest you will get from Amanda will take you to a dropped teleporter in the EDZ, which is actually quite tricky because the start of the quest is at the end of the Lost Whispering Falls area where you found all the documents from Ives last week. .
You will then be deformed to …
The cosmodrome!
That's right, the former site of Destiny 1 is back, at least in part, because this last mission takes place in and around the wall of the Cosmodrome, although the all the area has not been recreated, obviously. It sounds like what we did last time we left it in the days of Rise of Iron, buried in the snow, and yes, it's really cool to be back in such an iconic place.
The mission is … rather easy and short. There are actually only two groups of fallen enemies, one out of the wall and the other inside, a place where we have had some boss fights in D1. There, you're going to kill a fallen captain captain and his servant, it was not the easiest fight of all time, but some super playoffs did the trick. And then you go back outside and go away.
I'm a bit weird about this whole mission because Amanda makes it very clear that something is wrong, even though we've avenged Ives, because we do not know what the Fallen have done with him. Once the mission is complete, you have the option to teleport yourself, but the goal indicator of the game says "Leave the cosmodrome?" With a question mark. Maybe it's just because you will not be coming back here (I do not think you can do that), but there could also be secret information buried somewhere in the redone area. I did not find any, but I did not look hard either, and the community will probably find it pretty quickly. I will go back with my alts and see if I can find something for myself.
After that, Amanda gives you the last engram of Ives, an exotic who is deciphering in Thunderlord, which is not surprising, it is in the heavy slot. I have not tested the solution yet, I stopped writing this article, but its intrinsic advantage is "Reign Havoc: Killing with this weapon generates love at first sight", which, in my opinion , is an update of the D1 version.
Eververse also sells a Thunderlord ornament pack for 700 silver coins that I immediately bought because it's the sort of thing Destiny should sell, rather than random engrams. In addition, it looks cool.
All in all, it was a rather strange series of quests and probably the easiest exotic quest I have ever seen. It looks like it's supposed to be promotional for the upcoming expansion of the Black Armory, but at the end of the quest, if there's a connection with that, it's not specified, but that might have something to do with why the Fallen took Ives I suppose.
Anyway, I'll try Thunderlord and I'll do a report soon. A strange and easy quest, but cool in the end. God, I wish that all the D1 can be put in D2.
Update: Thunderlord is … very good. Ideal for the crowd, clear, ideal for boss burning due to the speed with which the rate of fire is reached. The effect of lightning call is awesome. I do not think it regenerates ammunition as before, although I have to be sure. In short, very fun to use in all and a great addition to the heavy slot. You do not know yet how it goes in PvP, go try Gambit then.
