What do you want from the next Apple iPhone? A faster processor? A better camera? A really edge-to-edge screen without the controversial hack?
All of these things would bring nice improvements, but they are not what most fans are asking for their next iPhone. Better battery life is at the top of the list in a survey of 1,665 Americans.
Apple's new-generation iPhone range is just around the corner. We have less than a week to wait for the company to make it official. We expect great things, but are the new models worth the upgrade fee?
We all hope to have different things from the three iPhone options that Apple should offer this year, but the vast majority of fans are improving, really want to.
Give us a better autonomy, Apple!
USA today conducted a survey of 1,665 US adults and found that 75% of them were asking for more autonomy from future Apple devices.
Believe it or not, only 10% of respondents asked Apple to eliminate the notch of the iPhone. Despite the many criticisms against it when the iPhone X debuted last fall, the notches are now widely accepted by the leading users of smartphones.
Many people, 66%, aspire to more durable handsets with unbreakable screens. The third most requested improvement, requested by 44% of respondents, was expandable storage.
USB-C over Lightning for connectivity
Other items on the wish list included back-up for the headphone jack, USB-C connectivity instead of Lightning connectivity, face recognition enhancements, and a faster refresh rate for apps.
When asked to choose only a new feature, 38% of people chose a better autonomy, making it the most popular application. The second most important was an unbreakable screen with 24% of the votes.
