YouTube adds an app for Oculus Go

Youtube updated its support for virtual reality on Tuesday, adding the Oculus Go headset to its list of supported viewers and adding new methods to create or enhance virtual reality downloaded from Google's video site.

At first, Google virtual reality The ambitions were a joke: he unveiled his first VR headset – an ultra-simple DIY kit made of cardboard, ironically called Cardboard – two months later Facebook dropped $ 3 billion to buy Oculus. But Google has aggressively invested since Cardboard launched Google's original virtual reality efforts. Adding more support for virtual reality on YouTube is one of the ways Google is making virtual reality a little more accessible.

YouTube announced Tuesday that its virtual reality application was now available on Facebook's Oculus Go headset via the Oculus store.

He also provided updates on ways to create content similar to virtual reality with his VR180 format introduced last year. The VR180 allows you to capture video with two dual lens cameras (rather than with typical VR camera equipment with tons of more). Then, it reproduces a 3D effect in a VR headset.

YouTube has also announced the launch of a VR180 authoring tool, which facilitates the creation of VR180 content. The tool is available on MacOS, Linux and now on Windows. With the latest Adobe editing tools, creators can edit, add effects and publish content more easily. And YouTube added support for two more compatible Kandao and Vuze VR180 compatible cameras.

To enhance the VR space audio transferred to YouTube, the service has also added support for locked audio, which allows you to add a narration and background music that will sound of the same way, regardless of your location.
