YouTube is down, please do not call the police

[ad_1]

YouTube is down and the Internet does not know what to do.

The video platform was unreachable Tuesday night, displaying a server error, a blank page, or damaged images when people tried to load the website.

The YouTube app also presented the same problems.

YouTube wrote in a tweet that it was "working to solve" the problems and apologized for any inconvenience that could have been caused.

As you might expect, when things go wrong, the Internet scares you. The Philadelphia police jokingly asked (or not?) That people do not call emergency services because of the blackout.

Other YouTubers were wondering what was happening on Earth as well.

Mashable has contacted Google and YouTube for more details.

UPDATE: October 17, 2018, 1:43 pm AEDT YouTube seems to be operational again. Breathe.
