In the Philippine Sea

The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group operated with the Queen Elizabeth Carrier Strike Group and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force JS While (DDH-182) in the Philippine Sea. The Reagan CSG departed Yokosuka in May and spent nearly three months operating in the US 5th Fleet.

Destroyer Squadron 15 is based in Yokosuka, Japan, and is embarked on the aircraft carrier. The U.S. 7th Fleet did not fully specify the escorts accompanying Ronald Reagan on his patrol, but the CSG includes:

• USS Halsey (DDG-97), homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is located in the Philippine Sea. The CSG deployed on August 2, operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet. This is the US Navy’s first deployment of F-35C Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter jets and the Navy’s new CMV-22B Osprey carrier aboard delivery aircraft.

The British Royal Navy Carrier Strike Group, led by HMS queen elizabeth (R08), is in the Western Pacific. Having completed its maintenance and upkeep, the CSG left the September 27. The attack group operated with ships of the Royal New Zealand Navy.

The British Carrier Strike Group includes: Type 23 HMS anti-submarine frigates Richmond (F239) and HMS Kent (F78); Type 45 HMS guided missile destroyers Defender (D36) and HMS diamond (D34); Royal Fleet Auxiliary RFA Fort Victoria and RFA Tidespring; American destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG-68); and the Dutch frigate HNLMS Evertsen (F805). In the Persian Gulf

The Essex Amphibious Ready Group with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed Aug. 12 and continues to operate in the Persian Gulf.

The ARG is made up of three ships: USS Essex (LHD-2), amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD-27) and the amphibious landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD-52). Together, the 11th MEU, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 1, and ships are referred to as ARG / MEU. In addition to ships, the main elements of the ARG Navy are a Naval Beach Group element, the Tactical Air Control Squadron element, a Fleet Surgical Team and a Combat Squadron element. helicopter at sea.

The 11th MEU is made up of four main elements: a command element, a ground combat element, an air combat element and a logistics combat element. In the West Atlantic

The Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are now in the West Atlantic and are about to return home. The Iwo Jima ARG and the 24th MEU deployed on March 25.

The ARG / MEU consists of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo jima (LHD-7), Harpers Ferry-class landing ship USS Carter Room (LSD-50) and amphibious transport dock USS Saint Anthony (LPD-17). Detachments embarked for the Iwo Jima ARG include Amphibious Squadron Four, Fleet Surgical Team (FST) Six, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, Control Squadron Tactical Air Force (TACRON) 21, Naval Beach Group (NBG) Two, Beach Master Unit (BMU) Two, Assault Craft Unit (ACU) Two and Four, and Sailors from Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) Two.

The 24th MEU, headquartered at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, consists of a Ground Combat Element, a Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 1/8, a Logistics Combat Element , Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 24, and Combat Aviation Element, Medium Oscillating Rotor Squadron (VMM) 162 reinforced. The 24th MEU also includes a light armored reconnaissance detachment.

USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) is underway in the Virginia Capes operating areas. According to the Navy, Truman successfully completed the final phase of testing conducted by the Board of Inspection and Investigation (INSURV) at Naval Station Norfolk, Va., Sept. 24.
