SALT LAKE CITY – Good news when it comes to the fight against COVID in Utah, new cases are trending down.
We now have five consecutive days of decline, and more than 18,000 more people have received a dose of the vaccine in the past three weeks.

The treatment uses proteins made in the lab to help the immune system attack COVID.
“They work best very early in the course of symptoms when the impact of the virus is at its peak and have no antibodies to the virus itself,” said Dr Brandon Webb, infectious disease physician at Intermountain. Healthcare. “These results are very encouraging. They point out that this is really an important tool in the treatment of patients.

This treatment was approved by the FDA in December and has been used on approximately 600 Utah residents.
But, doctors say the best way to protect yourself is to get the vaccine.
