Second quarter

Things got off to a good start for the Aggies in the second quarter as linebacker Justin Rice intercepted a pass in the red zone and Utah State ran for 92 yards in 11 games for a touchdown as Logan Bonner connected with Brandon Bowling, although the extra point was missed.

The Air Force responded with its own touchdown, again using a big pass to get it as Haaziq Daniels connected with Micah Davis for a 56-yard score.

Utah State then had the top three on and off for either team, and the Falcons responded with a dominating 16-play, 75-yard touchdown in which the Aggies never really had a answer to stop them.

For halftime, the Air Force has 305 yards of offense against 241 for Utah State. The Aggies have been penalized seven times and the Falcons only twice.

First shift

In a rather quick first quarter, both teams had some positive points offensively as the Air Force took a 10-7 lead.

The Falcons entered the board early with a touchdown that was set up with rare passing play by optional offense. The Aggies moved the ball well in the possession that followed, but got no points.

After the Air Force found itself with a short field goal in its next practice, Utah State responded with a 13-game practice that ended with a one-yard touchdown from Calvin Tyler Jr.
