Valheim will add giant stacks of gold in Hearth & Home update

The next major update for viking craft ’em up Valheim is still brewing in the kitchen, but it’s starting to feel pretty much done. Iron Gate has already revealed several tasty new foods and cooking stations, but now they’re taking us to the cellar. That’s right, giant iron cells, treasure chests, and piles of gold are also being thrown into the Hearth & Home pot when the update lands this fall.

Iron Gate is back with another quick update on the progress of Hearth & Home. They’ve already provided details on some really warm elements of the H&H update, such as new building parts, cooking stations, food, and more. That’s fine, but what makes your cozy little cabin a real home? Treasure, of course.

As seen above, Iron Gate showed off a sleek new craftable setting. If your chests are too full of gold coins, you can store them directly on the ground in neat piles or sloppy piles resembling dragons.

You may also spot a new type of storage chest up there, the black and silver treasure chests which Iron Gate says are “for keeping your wealth and extra supplies safe.” They don’t go into specifics on this, but it may mean that you may be able to lock them down in some way to protect your gifts from your co-op friends. Or maybe they don’t break as easily when attacked by invaders.

We’re about to find out for sure for too long. Iron Gate says they’re still on track to bring Hearth & Home to the game “this very quarter.” After that, they said the creepy Mistalnds were next on the to-do list. Here’s what we know so far about the Mistlands biome.
