NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Vanderbilt University Medical Center has announced its intention to purchase the only Wilson County Hospital.
According to a press release, the subsidiaries of Community Health Systems, Inc. and Vanderbilt have signed an agreement for the sale of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon and its associated activities. The installation of two campus is allowed for 245 beds.
Vanderbilt says he's committed to hiring just about every employee in good standing from the hospital. This includes more than 200 physicians and approximately 600 nurses, administrators and support staff.
Vanderbilt says patients should not experience any break in care during the transition.
The sale is subject to regulatory approvals. The closing is expected in the third quarter of 2019. The terms of the transaction will remain confidential.
