Vanessa Bryant criticized Meek Mill for her song which refers to Kobe Bryant’s tragic helicopter crash.
The leaked song, “Don’t Worry,” stars fellow rapper Lil Baby and includes the lyrics: “If I ever miss, I go out with my choppa, it’ll be another Kobe.”
Fans have already expressed their anger at the line, and now the NBA star’s widow has taken to Instagram to call the words “disrespectful.”
“Dear @meekmill, I find this line extremely callous and disrespectful. Period, ”Vanessa, 38, wrote on her Instagram story Monday night. “I don’t know any of your music, but I think you can do better than that.”
She continued, “If you’re a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. It lacks respect and tact.
Mill, 33, had previously shot down critics who called him for the reply in a bizarre response, tweeting: “Someone is promoting a story and you are all following it…. you all internet antics can’t stop me…. S – t like zombie land or something! MDR. “
He later added, “They’re paying to influence you now… it’s almost like mind control is waking up.”
In January 2020, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people who died in a helicopter crash in California. The NBA superstar was 41.
Kobe is survived by Vanessa and their daughters Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1.
