VIENNA – The 33rd Annual ViBaChu Crafters Bazaar will be held on October 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Vienna Baptist Church, 3401 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.

Enter through the double white doors on Grand Central Avenue. Masks and social distancing are suggested.

Members of the ViBaChu Crafters meet twice a week throughout the year to create crafts for the annual bazaar. Many members of the group continue to work on items at home to prepare for the sale.

The Fall Crafts Fair was started 33 years ago by a few ladies from the church who started creating together. The first took place in a small room in the basement of the church.

The event has grown over the years and the bazaar now fills the entire hall that was once the former church sanctuary.

The proceeds from the sale are used for church projects. Some of the items purchased over the years with the proceeds include a new piano for the sanctuary, a new stove and dishwasher for the kitchen, flags for the Cub pack, church windows and a telephone system, among others.

Craftsmen are also saving quarters for the Weirton Christian Center and L dollars for the Church Mission Fund.

Those interested in joining the craft group can go to its Facebook page or contact Lana Cunningham at church. Woodworking, sewing, painting and quilting are welcome.
