Apple TV + soars into the cosmos with alt story space drama season 2 trailer For all mankind, which launches the first of its 10 episodes on Friday, February 19.
The drama, starring Joel Kinnaman, explores what would have happened if the USSR beat Americans on the moon and the global space race never ended. Season 2 picks up a decade later in 1983, at the height of the Cold War.
“Ronald Reagan is president, and the greatest ambitions of science and space exploration are threatened to be wasted as the United States and the Soviets clash to control resource-rich sites on the moon,” according to the official synopsis. “The Department of Defense has shifted to mission control and the militarization of NASA is becoming central in the stories of many characters: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves in the stronger than a conflict it can lead to nuclear war.
