BOLIVAR, MO. (KUTV) – The video went viral after Nolan Sousley, a cancer patient, defended her THC pills after police searched her belongings at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
The Facebook group "The Warrior Tribe Against Cancer Nolan" was created in October 2018 after the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer at Sousley.
Since then, Sousley has started taking THC oil tablets, which he knows his doctors are aware of.
However, Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services reveal that although marijuana for medical purposes has been legalized in the state, its use is still illegal.
Some steps still need to be completed before it is available.
The video shows the police looking for marijuana and leaving empty handed after the intervention of the medical staff.
It has since become viral with many local reports, 5,3K reactions, 593,000 views and 8,635 shares.
