Steve Chazin, of Fairfax, Va., Captured a video on his dash-camera of what he believes to be a breathtaking meteor when he returned from Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday night.

"A huge visible mayor of #DC at 22:57," writes Chazin on Twitter, sharing a video that shows a glimpse of the light in the sky to the left of the road in front of him.

"It was so big that you could not ignore it. It was hard to stay on the road and not leave, "Chazin told Fox News.

Chazin said he has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in electrical engineering. He said he was driving on Highway 50 east to Fairfax when he and his wife saw a fireball in the sky.

"It was one of those things you did not know what you were looking at with so many bright yellow flames," said Chazin. "When he disappeared so quickly, I realized that he had to act from a meteor."

He first thought he saw "a plane on fire", until he noticed "a tail" at the end of the glowing mass in the sky.

"From what I know about physics, a tail is formed when you find yourself in an open atmosphere," Chazin said. "I lowered the window to hear a sound that was hitting something, but I realized it had to be far away, over the ocean."
