If you are a fan of the Waffle House brand, then I have a real treat for you. After more than 60 years in business, the famous chain – known for never closing and serving breakfast 24/7 – is preparing to launch its very first beer. And, understand that, it smells just like bacon. What?!

Together with Greensboro, Georgia-based Oconee Brewing Company, the new beer will be called Bacon & Kegs! and offers up to 6.5% ABV. So while the smell might appeal to bacon fanatics like me, the ABV of this red beer will likely be the thing that keeps you going. Waffle House fanatics will also appreciate the impressive design of the box. With cartoon renderings of bacon, beer, and the iconic Waffle House restaurant – all created by Georgia agency, Brock Company Creative – it all comes together effortlessly in this engaging new beer.

Don’t rush to your local liquor store to pick them up just yet. Beer won’t be available until Friday, December 18, and unfortunately, for those who are not from the state of Georgia, you can only enjoy it at the Greensboro Brewery. However, if you want to drive to Oconee Brewery, you can purchase the beer in six 12-ounce cans or on tap.

Surprisingly (or not for those who keep up to date with all things WH), this isn’t the first time the channel has released beer news. In 2018, the Georgia-based chain began serving beer at its first location, which was in the newly opened SunTrust Park baseball stadium in Atlanta.

Whether you’re a Georgia resident or not, you have to admit that all of this bacon and beer news is definitely worth celebrating.
