WEST MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin – There was confusion Saturday in a West Milwaukee Walmart on the occasion of the store's Baby Savings Day.
"Many of your employees told us that we were mentioning. It's very discouraging when mothers are here trying to get gifts for their babies and you act like we're crazy, "a woman told a store manager.
WISN 12 News was at the rendezvous as expectant mothers met with store managers at Greenfield Avenue and Miller Park Way to explain what these mothers call "fake advertising."
The event was expected to save up to 30% on dozens of baby items. Car seats, crib mattresses and many other items were also to be restored in stores and online.
The West Milwaukee store was on the list of places participating in the sale.
The parents came looking for bargains, but some women told WISN 12 News that none of these offers were offered in this store.
"Well, I mean, it does not really happen. Yes, it's not really like a sale. It's terrible. Well, this particular place in general (is), "said Nadia Alzobi, future mother.
When emotions erupted, store managers quickly calmed the crowd by drastically reducing the prices of the items they had chosen.
Walmart's head office said the supplies at each store were slightly different. That's why not all stores may have received a coupon.
Walmart will have online baby product offers until February 28 in different locations across the country.
