An anti-cheat system is reportedly in the works for CoD 2021 and Warzone, as the developers look to fix the biggest problem among their player base.
Call of Duty titles have long been the focus of hackers and cheaters, leading to a deterioration in the condition of both the main series Black Ops Cold War titles and its battle royale Warzone.
It’s been a constant struggle for everyone involved, but it looks like there may soon be a meaningful solution to the franchise’s woes.
Warzone Anti-Cheat Leak
Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson claims that much-requested anti-cheat software is coming to the game soon.
“A new anti-cheat system for the upcoming Call of Duty title has been in development for over a year. The same system will be implemented in Warzone, ”said Henderson.

There is no official confirmation from Activision or Ravensoft regarding any potential anti-cheat software, but there have been hints that would suggest it.
On August 11, Ravensoft announced that it had banned more than 50,000 Warzone accounts in its latest player purge. While this is a welcome sight, critics have expressed concerns that hackers will simply create another account and continue to cheat in Warzone.
Along with the news, Ravensoft said they are working to deliver something they have heard the community clamoring for.
“Most importantly, we are listening and working hard behind the scenes,” the developers said. “We will have more information for you soon.”
BOCW and Warzone’s player base and streamers are asking for a viable way to counter pirates. Other than mass bans, there has been little response from developers on a long-term solution.
Dr Disrespect, NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman, TeePee and many more are just a handful of big name streamers who have temporarily moved on to other battle royals like Apex Legends due to constant hackers ruining games.
This is a pivotal time in Warzone’s lifespan, and it will be interesting to see if Activision can successfully ship an anti-cheat before CoD Vanguard launches.
