The first banwave arrived on August 25, where Raven Software said it targeted “repeat offenders and cheaters at the source”, banning more than 100,000 Call of Duty accounts. The next update arrived yesterday via the developer’s Twitter account, indicating that another 50,000 cheaters had been hit by the hammer of the ban and that there was “more to come”.
The Call of Duty Twitter account recently posted a rather unusual video of the rushman360 cheat, which had been banned from Warzone material, with the text: “We know what you’re doing. We’re coming for you.”
To date, over 750,000 Call of Duty accounts have been banned from the Battle Royale game, which launched in March of last year. Raven Software and Activision recently announced that Warzone will finally receive an anti-cheat system when the game’s new map launches with Call of Duty: Vanguard later this year.
