A new Call of Duty: Warzone report has bad news about the future of PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC gaming, or at least bad news about the immediate future of gaming. Call from Homework: Warzone has a major piracy issue right now that not only affects the game’s average competitive match, but professional competitions. And it doesn’t look like this problem will be resolved anytime soon. At the time of publication, Activision et co. have been extremely silent on the problem, and it appears to be because they don’t have a solution coming anytime soon.
On Twitter, leading Call of Duty Insider and fighter Tom Henderson has revealed he’s looking into the game’s piracy issues and learned two things. One of those things is that Activision et al. are far from implementing an appropriate anti-cheat. Henderson doesn’t reveal why, but notes that the wait for his addition could take at least a month or two. Adding to this, Henderson also notes Warzone is far from the first game in the series to have ineffective anti-cheat.

Sadly, that’s all Henderson reveals, but for those who hope Warzone’s hacking issues would be fixed quickly, well, it doesn’t seem like that’s what’s happening. Of course, it’s possible that Henderson has the wrong information, and it’s also possible that things could change, but Henderson is generally very reliable when it comes to Call of Duty information.
