Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash., One of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump for “inciting insurgency,” faces criticism from the conservative base in his district.

Herrera Beutler represents Clark County in Washington, near the Washington State-Oregon border.

With 10 Republican votes, Trump’s second impeachment was the most bipartisan in history. By comparison, five Democrats voted to impeach Bill Clinton in 1998. Herrera Beutler was not the only Republican in Washington state to vote for impeachment; Representative Dan Newhouse did so too.

Clark County Republican chairman Joel Mattila said Herrera Beutler’s vote sparked “anger in the ranks.”

Clark Activate Republicans county chief David Gellatly told the Columbian that Herrera Beutler’s seat could be in danger.

“It was probably the only vote Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler could take that would virtually eliminate her chances of making her way through the primaries,” he told the Columbian. “People want someone else to start intervening immediately.… There are a bunch of very likely names.

Fox News’ investigation into Beutler’s office was not immediately referred.
