WATCH: Conor Gallagher assists Mbaye Diagne’s goal against Manchester United

Conor Gallagher, currently on loan from Chelsea to West Bromwich Albion, relegated to relegation from the Premier League, collected a wonderful assist today with a beautiful bent ball for the first time at Mbaye Diagne in the 2nd minute of the game against Manchester United . the latter was converted.

While officially Gallagher’s first assist this season, to accompany two goals he has undoubtedly been one of West Brom’s best players, under Slaven Bilić and now under Sam Allardyce.

Although the Baggies were unable to maintain their lead at first, they still fought to some extent against our top four rivals. The singular point won might not make much of a difference in West Brom’s relegation fight – they, alongside Sheffield United and Fulham are surely already too far away! – but the two points lost by Manchester United could have major repercussions in the Champions League qualifying battle. If Chelsea won tomorrow, we would be just 4 points from second place!
