Ole Miss supporters threw drinks, shirts and trash on the field of Oxford, Missouri, on Wednesday night, to protest a late-final arbitration that ultimately sealed the win over Tennessee 73-71 Highway 7 dramatically and controversially.

The Rebels led by three with 33 seconds remaining in the match, but failed to score again. Jordan Bone made a jump at the other end to get the UT in one point and, four seconds from the end, Grant Williams delivered the starting basket to give Tennessee a 72-71 lead. Moments later, the controversy made its appearance: Devontae Shuler was whistled for an accusation while he was driving on the court, looking for a chance to win.

Moments after the call, which granted the possession of Tennessee, the incoming Pass of the Flights to exit the countdown was not welcomed by the Oxford folks. Supporters present called for a travel infraction, which could have given Ole Miss a last shot to win, but a lengthy review determined that the match was over.

The Olle Miss coach, Kermit Davis, was not too happy with the calls. He threw off his jacket as far as possible to protest, and Rebels' followers followed suit by throwing drinks and all that was left on the court after the second. Davis himself has pleaded for fans to behave on the micro system at stake, but his call has fallen on deaf ears who had already seen Davis get a technical moment earlier.

For Tennessee, a late-game wild sequence that makes its way after falling on the wrong side of a loved one earlier this week. On Saturday, the Flights fell to LSU after a charge call against them that finally sealed their loss to the Tigers.
