Watch nearly eight minutes of Gotham Knights’ early gameplay footage

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has launched its new game in the world of Batman, Gotham knights, at the DC Comics FanDome today, and the developers have brought nearly eight minutes of gameplay footage for fans to watch.

The open world game takes place in Gotham City. In-game footage in particular shows Batgirl and Robin teaming up to take on classic Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. This is just one of the many villainous encounters that vigilante-turned-heroes will take place in the game, according to Warner Bros.’s description of the game. Games Montreal. Robin and Batgirl “will use a variety of unique abilities, weapons, and combat moves to take down their enemies,” the description reads.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has experience with Batman games, taking over the Arkham series which was launched by Rocksteady Studio in 2013 with Origins of Arkham. WB Games Montreal teased Gotham knights for over a year, but only revealed the name today. Rocksteady will also go ahead with another DC project, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Gotham knights will be released in 2021.
