At PAX West 2019, we had the opportunity to play The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening, the remake of the classic Game Boy. It is a re-imagery of the game that was released 26 years ago and which retains the original top-down gameplay in 2D but with a new bright (and adorable) artistic style. You can get some highlights and our thoughts on Zelda: Link's Awakening in the video above.

After 20 minutes with the game, it was clear that the game worked on the proven gameplay of Zelda 2D games as we played in the third dungeon called Key Cavern. There were clever puzzles to solve, various enemies with different challenges and several pieces to explore to collect the keys. We even went to the end of Key Cavern and fought against the gigantic slime boss, who had some mechanics to defeat. Each dungeon is a personal recreation of the originals; those who still remember these arrangements will feel like home when you explore these dungeons.

You will soon be able to relive one of Link's old adventures or experience it for the first time when the legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will arrive exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on September 20, 2019.
