Wendy Williams completely cut her husband, Kevin Hunter

Wendy Williams takes a number of steps – professionally and personally – to wipe her ex-husband out of her husband, and she started the process even before she presented him with divorce papers.

Sources close to Wendy tell TMZ that she is totally cut off Kevin Hunter out of his money and hired a team to make sure all his finances are safe. We are told that she has separated their funds and created new accounts … a process that began before she filed for divorce.

Wendy officially locked his own place in Manhattan, too. Our sources say that she signed the lease of her new home a few weeks ago and that she has already paid rent for next year.

She and Kevin used to live together at home in New Jersey. It's there that this weird story unfolded in January … when, as we told you, cops made a check for social assistance on Wendy.

As for business – we were told that Wendy was wondering if she needed to keep a job professional relationship with Hunter, but finally decided to cut all ties. She is currently looking for a new director and executive producer.

Sources related to Kevin tell us that he did not receive any money from the show after he left. Not yet.
