according to NASA, the spacecraft will move up to 3.8 million miles from the sun's surface, making it the closest aircraft ever seen from the sun. The spacecraft will exploit Venus's gravitational force to propel it forward with the help of seven overflights over a period of nearly seven years. At the closest approach, the probe will travel to the sun at an approximate speed of 700,000 km / h. The probe will be seven times closer to the Sun than the Helios 2 probe, which has a range of 27 million miles.

The instruments on the probe for sun observation are lit at specific distances from the sun. During the first two observation periods, the instruments were lit when the satellite was at 0.25 AU from the sun, then again switched off at the same distance. The instruments were activated on August 16, 2019 when the satellite was at a distance of 0.45 AU from the sun at the time of arrival, then was extinguished at a distance of 0.5 AU during the go, which lasted about 11 days. But recently, it was announced that the observation period would be extended to 35 days, which would allow scientists to gather more information about the sun.
