An animated explanation of measles.

With the resurgence of measles cases in the Lower Hudson Valley and the state of emergency instituted in Rockland County last week, The Journal News / lohud provides a database to verify the vaccination rate of your school.
New York schools report vaccination rates among their student population.
Use the graphs below for measles immunization rates for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 school years in Rockland and Westchester counties, respectively.
School vaccination rates vary. A school in Rockland County reported that no students had been vaccinated for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years. Rockland schools report rates as low as 19%, while others reach 100% and an average of 91% in Rockland over the past two years as well.
Westchester's lowest rate of measles immunization in a school is 31.5%, with a higher average of 98% vaccinated against measles in the last two years.
The data is collected by the New York State Department of Health.
